The 2010 Census brings an opportunity for our state to receive millions of dollars in federal funding. Everyone benefits from investments in education, health care, and jobs that are distributed based on census information.
Participating in the census is easy. By answering 10 simple questions about the people living in your household, you are helping the government determine the need for programs and improvements in our area.
For every person who is not counted, each state stands to lose up to $10,000 per person over the next decade. It is in the best interest of all residents that your county is accurately represented. If a lot of people do not fill out the census form, we could lose out on millions that our communities need and deserve.
Everyone benefits from the census, spread the word and let’s make sure everyone participates.
Tomorrow at the water cooler, at the beauty shop or during your daily Facebook and Twitter Rounds.. make sure friends and family are participating
