Bay Arch, a Denmark-based architecture firm, has a pretty radical idea for overhauling California’s famous Hollywood sign: turn it into a posh hotel boasting clubs, movie theaters, spas and more.
The 105-foot structure would preserve the original 45-foot sign, though it’d obviously be quite a bit larger. The hotel would hide all of its amenities on the side facing the hill, and offer hundreds of rooms for guests and an observation deck for folks to enjoy the view.
Do you really consider the Hollywood sign as a Monument or just a Landmark? If just a landmark, I say this woul dbe a great idea barring the wealth of Engineering knowledge and Technology it would take to make the structure Earthquake-proof.
